Managing Stress

I hope you are all enjoying the little signs of spring this week.  I was walking my dog this morning.  Although the thermometer read only 20 degrees, I passed a tree full of red-winged blackbirds singing enthusiastically in the sun.  I felt relaxed and happy, and considered how important it is to have moments like that each day.  I started to reflect on the times when our sense of peace is shattered by stress.  Today, I would like to present an old, but legitimate approach to managing those little stress surprises that can easily occur over 50 times in a day, according to psychiatrist Dr. Charles Stroebel, MD.

A Treatment Summary and Care Plan is a document that details the cancer treatment you or a loved one has received. This includes any surgery, chemotherapy (or other medical therapy) and radiation therapy. This document also lists the diagnosis, stage and any relevant information from pathology reports and may include the number of positive lymph nodes, estrogen receptor status or the tumor cell type.
